All I can say is, "THANK YOU VERY MUCH!"

Entrecard's New Home Page Layout

Entrecard just recently changed its home page layout. Gone are the updates of the member blogs that we usually find on the right side.

The blog categories are now on the front. This is really kinda neat because now you don't have to go to the Dashboard and click on Campaign just to see the categories and search blogs of a certain niche.

Do you think it's a good upgrade of the home page? Personally, I prefer the old one. It was more inviting and gives bloggers a free promotion or publicity because of the home page updates.

Mommy Bloggers Rule!

Guess who writes the most number of content online, whether for blogs or websites?

Moms!

Based on a study conducted by Microsoft and Mindshare regarding the online behavior of women, mothers and especially those with new babies, are the most prolific content publishers on the Internet.

As one executive from Mindshare puts it: “And moms are really the future of content creation. They have an insatiable appetite to create and share content — posting more than twice the average U.S. adult, whether publishing, maintaining or updating a blog or Web page.”

Gem of The Single Parent Talks just gave me this lovely award.

Coming from one of my idols when it comes to blogging (because of The Lady Programmer blog), this award really means a lot to me.

Thanks, Gem!

Trying Out the Opera Browser

Saturday, November 01, 2008 | Labels: , , , , , | 4 comments |

How effective is word-of-mouth marketing? If you are a blogger I guess you would naturally say that it is damn way too effective. :)

A friend showed me the Opera web browser on his laptop and professed how very fast it is compared to Firefox and Internet Explorer. I did not pay much attention to his sales talk because I am a Firefox lover, having been IE-free for more than a year already. And I'm not just about to try another browser.

But I've been encountering some reviews both from bloggers and respected tech sites claiming that Opera is indeed fast and should definitely be worth a try.

Well, I have to be honest that when it comes to technology like this, I can quite easily be persuaded. So here I am trying out Opera and I'm even using it as I'm making my usual round on my Entrecard dashboard.

All I can say is, I'm very much impressed! So far I can tell that it is faster than Firefox and IE (everything's faster than IE as some would say) and Opera has a nice clean interface. What I like most so far is its Notes function which lets me easily take well, notes, as I browse along.

I'll give Opera a shot for the next few days but so far I am still a Firefox user. :)
