Get a fast Internet connection. It is a given that you will need to be connected to the

Internet at all times, but make sure you have a steady and fast connection. You need

this especially if you have to chat with your clients over Skype or to send and receive

large files for your work.

Get the right tools for the job. This refers to both the software and the hardware. Of

course you need a computer, preferably a fast one. Aside from that you need the

software that can help you get the job done. If you're a writer then you need a word

processor. If you are a graphic artist then Photoshop is the industry standard for that.
